Sniff: Via Magnus Lindberg...

Today is the release of an album that I am proud of. A Dawn To Fear is how I spent much of last winter, and I think I can speak for all in @cultofluna in that we feel it's our best work so far.

More things done in the last two months include mixing for @chyldrenband , @linnkochemmery , @barrenstheband ,

@pablo_matisse_ and mastering for Thomas Stenström , Neander, Albatross, Folke Nikanor, The Janitors, Shitbaby Mammals,

Plivii, Mapash, Therese Lithner, The Datsuns, Blister Brigade, Märvel, Spider Momma, Babylady,

Xnymfo, Misery Loves Co., Haumea, Jelassi, Les Big Byrd and more!

I'm so impressed with how consistently on point they are with their formula. It rarely drags here, if even a few times, and this is emotional and intense as fuck.

It is their longest album too

Also, Inland Rain has to be the most post metal song title ever. Don‘t know why exactly...

Re meditation, I have found it essential in how I handle anxiety but I would be very skeptical of people claiming that it had given them insight into metaphysical matters such as the nature/existence of free will. Likewise for claims that meditation shows that there is no enduring self. I take meditation to involve paying detached, curious attention to one's own passing mental states, and I just don't see how that could show you such things. The most you could say is "through meditation, I have been unable to observe any such as the self or a free will". But I would say that it is not surprising that you haven't observed those. They aren't mental states and so meditation is fundamentally the wrong tool to try and observe them.

Just for the record, I'd like to point out that even someone like me who 5'ed Fear Inoculum can be skeptical of aspects of meditation! Hehe.

Have you dabbled in CoL’s material before Trifo? If not, enjoy and savour. One of the very best around.

I second that. Cult of Luna and Neurosis bring the feels.
