idk how anyone can get three songs into this album and claim that it is boring.

This youth fountain kinda sounds like everything else honestly. Trash boat, knuckle puck, etc. Not bad, just really generic

Youth Fountain fucking rules man. Good recommendation.

Maybe because pretty much every song is the same mid-tempo pace and it sounds like it was recorded underwater.
I think Youth Fountain embraces their hardcore roots more than the bands you listed, even Trash Boat. Also they're way better than Knuckle Puck who haven't done anything great since their last EP.

well pretty much every song was fast bitter pop punk on US&D so

At least the production sounded good and it was fun and catchy.

didn't have an issue with the production here, and it just never seemed to want to slow down for well over half an hour, which leaves albums like that getting a little exhausting adound the end imho. Vary your paces and it won't get tiring to listen to.

See on Youth Fountain’s record, everything sounds the same aside from Ache. Idk how you can say every song here is the same mid-tempo pace honestly...if you compare title track to Upside Down, then to If I Fall (one of their fastest songs since The Glass), then to Growing On You (slowest song aside from Phantom)...idk dude, there’s a lot of variety here. Every song has a very unique identity

let it go keep this up and light year are the only songs that have really held up at all should bump this down

Weird, I’ve always felt Let it Go was one of the more forgettable tracks. Light Year is good, but still gets overshadowed by half the songs here. Parker’s flow is better than it has been since US&D, and the guitarists do some of their best work here. That fuckin solo on If I Fall...mmmmmph

the production really kneecaps any dynamic contrast and washes over anything interesting in the songwriting which makes the middle section especially sound like the same thing over and over again
also it’s not like the songwriting is particularly strong in the second half either

Agree to disagree! I’m just glad they tried some new things. Line works really well as an interlude for me too

The real question is...single version vs album version?

Album version x1000000. I didn’t like the single version at all

I like both, but I agree album version is better

Album version >>>
The vocals are much more fitting.

I do agree the production has become less appealing over time, especially the vocal production on some of the slower tracks...I feel like if they leave it a little dirty but maybe implement some more reverb or something it'd work better (said as a guy with zero production know-how)
Album version rules for Out of It also
