Basically what everyone is saying is that The Wonder Years are just the millennial Subdivisions by Rush which is 100% true

i know he was jokin but just for the record, theres not much complaining about suburbia on suburbia. the suburbs is more like the backdrop for whatever the fuck is goin on with soupy. its quite clearly distinct from the hilarious "i wanna get outta my hometown!" pop punk stereotype.

butt.

So, I worked through the entire discography of this band this week, and while I recognize that's no way to really appreciate a discography this well-regarded, this is the only album I really fully enjoyed.

Guess pop punk has really grown off me.

(Big fan of Aaron West too, though.)

I revisited their entire discog this week as well (it all still rules honestly)

I just love the progression the band has made, but wouldn't want to change anything about their old material either. They went from singing about college and lucky charms + beer to the insecurity of being 26 without a wife or kids to dealing with death of loved ones etc.

also as Feather was pointing out, they do a great job tying their albums together, be it lyrically or musically

I was thinking that his singing style sounds like mid 2000s FOB or one of their contemporaries on this album too

it’s a basic pattern that anyone could’ve come up with that i guarantee has popped up in many songs overtime doubt that was intentional at all

These guys are cool live, but people crowdsurfing to the first minute of Cigarettes and Saints are NOT.

holy fuck, no TWY didn't steal from Agalloch. Bet money Soupy has never listened to them in his life. It's a basic pattern, and the rhythm doesn't even match verbatim.
