If I remember correctly, I never went to any show where they didn’t play Painkiller

It doesn't require any explanation other than what i said. Maybe if you like hippy rock you can dig it, i dunno. It's not metal and i just don't like it at all. Judas Priest became a good (/great) metal band with Screaming for Vengeance.
Anyway, their 70s stuff is nowhere near what they do nowadays in terms of style so i don't see why they'd play those for a minority of fans.

On another note, Rob Halford revealed that SAD WINGS is undoubtedly his favorite Priest record and I agree with him

Halford is doing his job Titan mate, album rocks hard but it's far from being the band's best album.

So, i don't have the same taste as you and that means i'm ignorant, right ?
You make me laugh, seriously. Their 70s stuff is, in my opinion (notice the word?), terrible because it's just poor music and based on the era. I'd rather listen to older stuff like Hendrix, Presley, etc. or more modern ones than anything from the disco era.
Also, try to be more tolerant. Just because you happen to believe Sad Wings is one of the best sings ever, doesn't make it true for everyone. I believe fans of their earlier albums are less and less present in concerts and festivals (first hour fans would be at least 55/60 years old) and that makes those songs less relevant. Why else wouldn't they play it if it's the material they like best? This would be poor business.
Most bands tour to promote newer songs, not the other way around.

I like to think that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Everything is subjective, except Dark Side of the Moon being the best album ever released, which is an undisputed fact

Faenrir talking crap again, no surprises here. At least next time try to be more consistent, ya know? You were saying how Nightside is one of the best bm records ever and that is supported by it ranking high on most metal websites, yet here you are shitting on Sad Wings, which also happens to be considered as one of the greatest NWOBH albums of all time.
So, as Dimorphic put it:
