Nah, I actually find this one a bit boring to be fair. Absolutely love Charli & Brat, also coming round to CRASH a bit too. Blasted this several times now and it's just a bit of a slog to me. Femmebot is pretty fun though. Not feeling a lot of this. I'm a massive Carly fan too but the opening track doesn't do a lot for me either, no idea why.

this dropped during my high school "i'm gonna start making beats" phase and it fucking floored me production-wise.

even today i still find this extremely cutting edge.

wasn't really until this year where the brilliance of the songwriting really hit me (particularly in the 2nd half). i know a lot of people aren't fans of some of these features but they all work for me.

i think brat is better front to back but the high points of this are still my favorite like 5 or 6 songs from her

track was dropped from the running when he died because the collab was just them sending files back and forth. she didnt know him personally so she wasnt comfortable w putting it on the album so it (understandably) prob wont ever get an official release. amazing song though

To be fair I'm yet to listen to this through my headphones, so I haven't heard the full extent of the production. I could end up absolutely loving it. But one of the biggest parts of a pop album for me is the hooks, and the hooks... They ain't hooking!? I know Charli can knock out some incredible hooks too! It's just not so much of a fun listen to me, certainly moody in parts, sure. But tracks like Official and I think about it all the time just do the moody thing better in my opinion. I hope this grows on me, mind.

this is very much a zany production crashpad before it's a great pop album. important melting pot of ideas that have been far better realised across the following releases
