Check Helplessness Blues first. This album is better IMO but far less immediate and might not be the best album for a FF beginner.

I’d say just start with the debut, they only have the three albums and they’re all really great so you may as well go chronologically, also that will allow you to see the progression of their sound.

Definitely start with the debut - it's the most catchy/immediately appealing

I used to be somewhat the same, had their first 2 albums at a 4 and pretty much never listened to them but recently I've grown to actually love this band

Not gonna lie, I was kind of let down by this album. The reverb took away from the songs a bit too much

The back end of this album I cannot seem to pin down nearly as quick as the front. I've heard the album beginning to end numerous times but it always feels like its the first time I'm hearing the last three tracks.

This is sounding better and better, growing on me again. I appreciate how avant-garde and detailed it is.

Yeah best year since 2010 easily, possibly even best of the decade
Personally, it gave me classics in the form of releases from Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, Fleet Foxes, Gang of Youths, Lorde, and Benjamin Clementine. I might even be forgetting one.
