I like them because they sound like actual drums which is typical of Lunn's sound, but you like what you like and that's cool man

aura absolutely does have better production by a mile, this just has more distinctive climaxes imo, musically it's a tad better which is overall more important.

I'm already loving two of the four tracks... This is going to be good! And an awesome year for AvantgardeMusic with new Enisum coming in March too !

wasn't feeling either of them tbh

like, there's virtually no differentiation between what he's doing now and what he did for the last two records, they're entirely interchangeable and the overload of strings and flutes in places they don't need to be in these tracks end up feeling a little saccharine to me tbh, nothing has room to breathe

I think all three albums have felt very different from each other. aura used tin whistle to carry the melodic leads, while guardians was violin-heavy, for instance. the vocals are mixed quite differently too, and the three drummers have been easy to differentiate.

Perfect description Sevengill! I feel this one will be even more accessible than Guardians was though, not saying it's a bad thing. At first listen, the change of pace at the middle of the song didn't feel quite right though, am trying again as we speak though. The Neige part is, as expected, pure awesomeness

I missed the three-drummer problem, but it makes sense.
