Anyway, sorry about the political rubbish. I just finished listening to this and I think it's pretty slick. Feeling a 3.5-4 for a first impression.

Is it like Cuba? I've never been thereeeee tbh.

And PR is in a never-ending two-partician loop thanks to its overwhelmingly big conservative ignorant old baby boomer folk demographic. Both "big" parties are as greedy and shitty as Republicans and Democrats in the US. Both parties have fucked its people over ever since they started governing the island back in the 40's. At this rate the only salvaging moves are either independence or statehood, both of which will never happen.

Anywho, album is killer. lmao

tfw when you're a "communist" that has only read 3 pages of Das Kapital and are entirely unaware of the existence of Veblen

I'll see if it holds up after a few more listens, but right now, this is my favorite DEP album. I agree that it almost acts like a greatest hits album. It takes everything they've done in their career and builds on it. I think Surrogate might be my favorite track on this, but like I said, it'll need more time to sink in.

One of Us Is The Killer is second (third now I guess) after OP. This album just takes everything I loved about those albums and builds on them. It's more melodic while also being more chaotic than both those albums. One of my favorite albums of the year so far.
