I guess these guys are determined to keep making Lost Together rehashes. Only problem is that Lost Together was great, and the rehashes are somewhat boring in comparison.

I just want more gnarly guitar riffs like Daybreaker and Hollow Crown had

I want the creative riffs from Ruin/Nightmares and the energy of the more recent albums. But that'll never happen. These dudes sound stuck on this sound.

Yea they found a comfortable sound for them and just won't deviate at all from it. I think the backlash from The Here and Now really backed them into a corner, where they think that if they experiment at all then the fans will hate it

Yeah I can see that. I was listening to The Here and Now yesterday and its definitely overhated. Its just that you can't follow Hollow Crown with a tame album like THAN. Learn To Live is still a banger tho.

I agree that THAN is overhated, it has a good chunk of songs that are dope. The first five tracks are all good, and the closer is nice

THAN sucks guys come on, I do agree it's made worse by the fact it followed Hollow Crown.

It doesn't suck. You know what sucks? These guys copycatting themselves into stagnancy.

The Here and Now was awful lyrically. And the accompanying music videos--especially for 'Learn to Live'--were completely meme worthy because of how terrible they were.
Musically, it probably featured their best production. Steve Evetts is a very underrated producer. And I feel because people got so wrapped up in much their sound deviated from 'Hollow Crown', people ended up overlooking how well arranged and mixed the music was.
The new song isn't bad. But I definitely find myself in the camp that's not wanting to hear LF/LT vol. 3.
I'm cool with them keeping the downtuning and bleghs, but with the addition of someone as talented as Josh Middelton, these guys now have the talent to really kick things up a notch. Would love to see them allow him to cut loose and bring a new sense of renewed energy to the new album.

Just heard then play live on Radio One.
Really fucking good. They played Nihilist and A Match Made In Heaven from this as well as covering Territorial Pissings by Nirvana.

I had a meal with these guys a few weeks ago. Really dont like their music but remember them from when they first started and just forgot them. Amazing to see where they are now and an absolute great bunch of lads. All power too then
