Skelethon was good but I didn't want to come back to it, except for Gopher Guts. But I put this on almost weekly. Think it's because it's just a more cohesive and fun record

Skelethon's a sweet record. But this is better. I like how for the first time, Aes is really opening up to us, like 15 years down the road. Plus the production is like always on point. Didnt he get Yo La Tengo to do the instrumentals or something?

This guy definitely compresses his vocals in a kinda weird way thats a bit distracting but he's consistent enough at it so that it isn't noticeable after a while

aesop killed it! damn this is good

I get saying this is more cohesive and fun but Skelethon was darker and more emotionally draining. Skelethon sounded like somebody in the middle of the turmoil, this sounds like somebody who made it out and learned from it. At least, imo

plus if you factor in his divorce it helps Skelethon make more sense
