yeah that was a little condescending. personally if you like this then great, music is subjective and i like some questionable shit. i do think the 4.5s and 5s are a little reactionary though. kanye himself was displeased with this album and is tweaking it now, i think that alone speaks volumes.

Technical faults and imperfect presentation are probably the only things that are keeping me from 5-ing this. That's what I think he is tweaking. The quality of actual songwriting doesn't deteriorate because of that.

that's what happens when you try to extend an olive branch to someone on sputnik. i was legit trying to keep the peace but whatever asshole

I really like what's on here, but my biggest complaint is that Kanye is often so lyrically lazy now. I still think he's a brilliant guy, but he just doesn't bring the bars like he used to.

Plus, I chucked at the Swift line and the asshole line, but some of the stuff he says and does (like completely mailing in the lyrics for Freestyle 4) feel like obvious and cheap attempts to rile people up. Granted, it works, but its value to me is musically limited at best.
