That goes without saying.

Honestly was never into Bowie post-80's material, but I'm going to give more of his discog a go not just out of respect, but also because Black Star is great.

There's a lot of great stuff from that neglected period. I've always believed it to be a shame that everyone ignored those albums. They have their own special beauty. The sound of David Bowie being happy, in the nineties...

Anyone notice that the opening harmonica on I Can't Give Everything Away is a throwback to Low's 'A New Career in a New Town?' That's so symbolic.

His 90's output is decent.

I've never listened to the Buddha of Suburbia soundtrack but the t/t is a classic. Will check that one in full.

Everyone should listen to Outside, one of his best albums if you cut the fat from it.

Earthling is worth a go too, a fantastic failure, half car crash and half genuine rocket fuel.

Hours has four or five great songs, very sombre and reflective, another that will sound different now.

Bowies charisma, inventiveness, originality, attitude, style.

Other than some iffy wobbles here and there the man was immaculate and a true one off.

Lemmy was the personification of Rock N Roll, Bowie is the personification of musical performance art.

Ziggy played guitar.

RIP.

The true beauty of this album is only realised in Bowie's death. RIP. He died too young, he died a legend forever. If you're sad today, just remember the world is over 4 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie.

Just bought tickets to the Carnegie Hall Tribute concert, which I'm sure will be sold out within the coming minutes. Anyone else able to grab 'em?

When I heard this on Friday there was a feeling of maudlin about it that just made me uneasy, couldn't quite put my finger on it. Now we know why.

Damn I was listening to this last night for the first time, hard to imagine he might have passed during my first listen. RIP, time to check out the discography.

"taking a stab at his contemporaries akin to the classic tune ”Teenage Wildlife” (“You’re a flash in the pan/I’m the great I am”)"

In context, this line here is wrong, I hate to say...
