A Gallant Gentleman is amazing. Gonna bump this a little.

And yes this is definitely post rock. Though The Last Dive Of David Shaw sounds like Cult Of Luna without the vocals so definitely not 100%, but at its heart its definitely a post rock album.

I was pretty wrong about this one. It's pretty great. Most of the flaws lay in Challenger Part 1 because it's ten minutes too long and goes fucking nowhere, but this is definitely different from any other post rock I've heard and the production is organic and amazing.

I can get why someone would hate The Challenger Pt1 because it really drones endlessly but it all sounds beautiful, cohesive and unique.

"it was cool to not like this on this site for a minute"

My needless hyperbole was probably partially to blame for that. I got a bit excited about this album though, shoot me.

Exactly, second half of Challanger 1 just wrecks me, every time. That massive build up with the sudden-stop climax that just HAS to be the rocket exploding. And then that painful whining guitar in the background of everyone freaking out. Shit fucks me up.
