He apparently recorded a version of "Chandelier" by Sia for a charity album and I need it right now

i have to share this here because it's always bugged me that i never heard anything else from this guy. this performance is from a damien show way back when. it was his birthday and he throws a cake into lisa hannigan's face, which i believe is one of the reasons she stopped working with him. but anyway, terry sutton had opened for damien and then came out to play this song with damien singing backup and it's SO GOOD.

Just went down a rabbit hole that i didn't know existed. Their history and breakup seems so sad. I had no idea lisa Hannigan existed and what an impact she had on the music here.

have you heard damien's first two records? she's all over them, especially O

she's made a few solo records since that are pretty good. she's also toured with glen hansard, who had his own weird split from marketa irglova

oh God the Lisa / Damien relationship is literally why this album exists. She's also why O and 9 are so amazing

Do u realize why there's such a large gap between 9 (2006?) And this album? Dude dropped off the earth for a few years...literally lived on a sailboat for awhile. Still loves her I think tbh..you guys need to read the interview he did explaining everything about his life before this album. Can't believe you've never dived into the story behind the greatest bastard

"I Don't Want to Change You" isn't one of the best here--but it does so so much for this album in so many ways. Such a feeling

i don't like this voice at all, it comes across as a bit too thin for me. This album, otherwise, didn't impress me much either. While i appreciate the approach to build-ups and climaxes, i never found the climax to be all that satisfying. It takes a lot to know a man is awesome though
