actually dropping this to a 3, I sailed off this album on the sails of Via but looking back it was honestly a big step backwards imo. as much as I love this band, most of their career just went downhill after Via and I only really return to Vahle and 91367 here

tl;dr this album didn't age well for me

I wasn't huge on this when it came out because it was an abvious step down from Via but it has grown on me over the years and is still a strong album in its own right.

I can dig it but most songs just make me cringe now like Across the Bed and Erased, the lyrical content just seems really dumbed down for me and out of character, it lost that profound spark Via had in a really jarring way

yeah i mean honestly it’s basically a pop album so the corny lyrics seem fitting lol

if this was meant to be a pop album then it was well into the closet about it, a poppier sound from this band after Via was completely unanticipated
