My biggest beef with Nirvana is not the band itself but the hype and influences around them. Personal experience, my uncle worshiped these guys, praised Kurt like a God, and partook in heavy heroine use. That shit, in addition to other things in his life, fucked him up, and he wound up taking his life before his 32nd birthday. I can't like a band whose "partial" association is with my uncle's once fucked-up life. I'm not blaming them for his death, but his idolization of them is a huge turnoff.



Also, their singles are alright, but their music is average as fuck in my eyes.
