Randomly got While We Sleep suggested on Yt and checked it out. Normally i tend to avoid Scandinavian melodeath since it often gets to cheesy for me. But suprisingly, i really liked it, i kind of even hear traces of post rock and more modern prog metal a la Cloudkicker, AAL etc
Also helps that it doesn't feel to dark, i would even argue there is a subdued uplifting feel to it

Was on a long road trip this weekend and listened to a handful of Insomnium albums I hadn't heard in a while. This one really surprised me how much I enjoyed it years later. I feel like when it came out I was kinda burnt out on their modern sound at that point, but I found it to be remarkably more enjoyable than I had previously thought. Anyways, just had to bump my rating up a bit.

I do really love the album though. All of Insomnium’s stuff is top tier and are one of my very favorite bands. Black heart rebellion is one helluva song.
