Every time someone comments on this it seems to prompt a listen, and this seems to be ageing very well. I really can't figure out why I like this so much though, I just do.

I find it's just a very diverse album, situationally. You can pretty much listen to it at any given point, doing anything, and it suits the mood in some fashion.
Albeit the fact that the lyrics are on the darker side, the music itself is a different story.

Need to spin this again, remember not liking it at all on first listen

I just don't know how anyone could think that upon hearing this for the first time. I was distracted to the point of tuning out of the conversation I was involved in when I first heard this. Specifically, An Ocean Between the Waves.

In my local music shop they have this on vinyl, and every time I'm in there it hurts me so much that I don't have a record player. If/when I get one this'll probably be in my first 3 purchases.

You won't regret it.
I had purchased it at a record store in toronto for like 20 bucks, and then subsequently that month, received it in the mail as my "record of the month" from the vinyl club I was registered in at the time. Man did that frustrate me, haha.
