FNM are much better than Primus anyway so yeah
@SpaceMan last two episodes just felt so lifeless to me cos they dropped that awesome cosmic horror thing that was going on before and it was just sort of this CSI show from then on out
also I will be in a Floyd thread whenever I see one bumped I just don't see them that often
|
| |
but i dont

FNM don't seem too bad yea wouldn't really talk shit on anything patton's done but funk metal is something i always associate with whip-its and other inhalant drugs

classic yak comment right there
and they only really had one "funk-metal" album by that definition anyway their classic stuff was a lot more
uhh
weird?

so more whip-its or less whip-its that's what really matters here

Album Rating: 5.0
I feel that, but if anything the last episode felt like the x-files with that hillbilly shit going on...
I guess theres not a lot to talk about with Floyd but on a side note a friend of mine brought a DSOTM wine bottle over to a party and that was kinda neat... obviously it was cheap stuff and she only got it cause the bottle looked sexy with the prism on it but it would give any floyd fan a boner

yeah its the main issue at hand to whip or not to whip

Album Rating: 4.1
I suppose so but if it did it was a very cheap version of the X-Files, I mean the way that they found the guy in the end was total fucking bollocks
Sometimes I feel like everything there is to say about Floyd has been said and that makes me :/ but then on the upside come October I'll have a whole new album to talk about so :D
I don't drink wine or alcohol but that's pretty fucking epic

tbh one of the most negative sides of sputnik and really music in general is how i'm introduced to a
certain album/band has a HUGE impact on how much i like them, although it really shouldn't, like it's
impossible for me not to take their fanbase or how they portray themselves into account when listening
to them which i SUPPOSE shouldn't matter but i mean if i don't usually agree with the people that like
them or they claim that their music is the greatest thing ever until a bunch of people buy into that
than i am just so turned off, which makes a lot of mainstream music unappealing to me although tbh a
lot of mainstream music is also just plain nonredeemable shite BUT i think its unfortunate that there
are bands that i would've probably liked more if i had been introduced to them a different way

You know what Yak, you actually got a bit of a point there.

Yeah I feel you and I totally agree with what you were trying to say in a roundabout way which is that a lot of Tool fans are absolute fucking dicks
The continual philosophical bullshit that always surrounds Lateralus and the way the fans act like they achieve some sort of enlightenment from it is nothing short of sickening
Maynard pulled off the ethereal-type lyrics once well, on Third Eye, and then it just got fucking annoying. he is so much better when he's writing stupid angry lyrics like Hooker With a Penis or Vicarious than that pseudo-spiritual bollocks on Lateralus
/rant

listen to more music and socialize less should do the trick
|
| |
I never really got how some people consider Tool of all bands to be philosophical
|
| |
they r very mathematical so by proxy they r philosophical x DDD
