I've only heard Sequoia Throne: Remixed and thought it was awful, not sure about their albums though, but no doubt it is worse than Dream Theater so far, shit, some may say Metallica is worse than Dream Theater.

Really though, even look at the average user ratings for their albums, and then at the Remix album. That should at least have been a hint.

I am not judging them alone like that since I can't. I will listen to all of their discography later, but my point is that I really didn't like what I've heard so far, and highly doubt that they're better than Dream Theater, considering Petrucci and Portnoy are almost unbeatable with technicality.
