wow this is sick, you like ATDI eh?
|
| |
I like ATDI but wouldn't consider them an influence. Oddly enough, you're not the first person to say that to me either

I'm really digging the mix, esp the bass tone.

I did it all!

I still think it's good Xing, especially the lyrics which are dope, it's just not my style of music
Have no idea what I would rate it
|

Probably a 2.5

man hats off, I've been messing with LogicPro for over a year trying to get my shit down and its excruciating.
|
| |
Once you find your sound, you become really efficient and your brain is just programed to EQ things quickly to your liking. I enjoy trebly guitars, meaty and punchy bass and vocals with not a whole lot of low end so I EQ songs like BADA BING BADA BOOM BABY!
|
| |
Higher than 2.5
More cleans would push it to a 3.5-4 I think
|
| |
I really only like brief moments of clean vocals in my own music, so there will never really be anything more than a few lines here or there unless I come up with a sweet intro like I've Seen Things again. I am really fond of ambient cleans though, with Ooohs and Aaaahhhs in the background

The bass tone is giving me PTW vibes.
I hope what you said about EQ is true, I think I just need to keep at it and spend some more time, It'll come with familiarity.

| |
You did a great job on that Milly Michaelson cover though Xing
|

It also helps being familiar with your DAW. I've been using the same program for like 7 years now so I like to pretend I know my way around making shit sound alright. Keep practicing and once you find that one song that sounds perfect, use your EQ settings and effects as a reference for your other songs. Say, oh I EQed the bass like this in that song and I loved it, so I will continue to EQ my bass that way unless a song calls for something different. So on and so forth.
PTW?

| |
I forgot I showed you that song. Only a handful of people have heard it. Like maybe 5
|
| |
I am one of the chosen then?
|
| |
No, Row. You are the chosen one. Red pill or blue pill, we are about to get fucked up
