Saw these guys last night, the vocals are good on record but Adrian talks 50% of his lyrics live and it's pretty disappointing. This album is good but nothing special. If anything, it's Nic's creative drumming that saves it from plummeting into a drone-fest.
Production and atmosphere can easily trick the average person into thinking the songs are better than they actually are. I think the reason this band is so over-hyped is because this Tesseract/Erra sound hasn't been done properly in Australia yet.
