tapes sound cool imo
they have a certain deepness that makes the drums and guitar sound more rich than digital mediums but don't have a high quality like cds or vinyl

I have a tape deck in my car too, so I have to suffer through listening to an ipod run through the tape converter so it sounds like ass. I own a couple tapes though, since there was this band selling demo tapes and it sounds pretty good. But for headphone listening I far prefer cd's or digital.
