Wait are we talking the remaster of Human or the original? I've only heard the remaster (production there is fucking

phenomenal), but I've heard in the original master the bass was drowned out the way it is here.

The overall sound of Human (the original) is much much better than this. To my ears at least.

The original was the one I am referring to.

Overall I prefer the original's production to the remaster tbh.

i like both but definitely prefer the original. drums r too loud on remaster, and you can hear the bass just fine on the
original

I haven't heard it, but the remaster sounds perfect to me.

Really the issue for me on this album are the guitars, they just lack that punch and epicness in MoP. And god, the drums sound awful...

Not anywhere near a quarter as awful as they would 15 years later though.

I'm not talking about Lars' playing ability, they sound so clicky and empty. Actually, that's the perfect word for this record's production. Empty. I guess it may be the point, but it's difficult to even get through Blackened because of it.

It would be interesting if they decided to rerecord the bass tracks with Trujillo and remaster everything else, sort of like what Meshuggah did with their album Nothing.

yeah the mixing isn't perfect, would have been nice to hear a bit more of the low end but it doesn't detract from this for me I still love it a lot

kind of like adversarial's PINGPINGPINGPING drums on all idols fall before the hammer. from a technical standpoint the mixing/production could have been BETTER but it still rocks and on top of that it's carved out more of it's own identity by rocking super hard yet not playing along with conventional avenues of sound quality. even though it may have been unintended :D I still love it

You can always try ...And Justice for Jason. The bass is significantly more audible.
