Yellow is boring for the most part but I can't rate this below a 3 with songs like Cocainium, March to the Sea, Eula and the whole of Green which is actually pretty good.

He sounds really good on a lot of this tbh. Not a fantastic lyricist though.

He's certainly not the most articulate writer out there but I think plenty of moments here land exactly the way they need to, especially the first couple songs

john's voice is pure passion, not technique. that's not a bad thing.

The ending of Little Things wrecks harder than anything has ever wrecked

In terms of style, I think this is my fave baroness release. I still prefer blue cos it rocks harder
