You misunderstood me again, it's not that it bothers me. It's just that I don't care and I don't see any reason for him in talking to me about things I don't care & him potentially looking like a jerk. And this is not just a personal argument, I'm also speaking socially. If he's 'being an idiot in public' and everybody judges him, do you think it will reflect positively upon him in the future? I don't think so.
The main thing that bugs me PERSONALLY is degrading people. Some do, some don't. I don't want the ones that do in my social circle because I don't like people spewing negativity. (being really about MY experience, this is why I don't have contact with my brother - another thing that's not really conservative)

As for the 'terms', I was never using them in any political context - I know that's how they're mainly used in the U.S. but they have a more 'opinion & thought based' meaning here, some of may be overlapping wit the political word since one stems from the other so they can have various different meanings, some of them exclude what I listed above.

Oh, surely they can. I'm just saying it goes both ways - that those connotations are very vague. Love isn't inherently a 'positive' thing as much as 'hate' or 'rage' or 'aggressiveness' aren't inherently bad things, they're just feelings who can be motivations. Love can make you as strong as an adrenaline rush and rage can. Love can also make you do things like severely hurt people or kill someone. Hatred can do the same. One can become the other or motivated by other and vice-versa. There's no clear point where you can draw a line.
