Great debut, agreed, although the next four albums after this are some of the best in thrash so it's not really this album's fault that it gets overshadowed imo, but it gets overshadowed rightfully

Hell Awaits, Reign In Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons all destroy this imo - I don't really see how this is better than those in any way except for maybe worse production if that's your thing. Or if you just really like classic heavy metal moreso than thrash.

I think Hell Awaits is where their discog solidly peaks, but if we're going to talk about well-made and interesting thrash that just so happens to be utterly deranged, '86 and '87 brought on some better work than Reign imo
