Yea this review is great. Pretty much captures my thoughts on metal.

To add to it: When I was a teenager I almost exclusively listened to rock and metal. Now these days Im branching off more, but metal is still untouched. Its just the most powerful music out there. While I may love many songs from other genres, only metal really gives me an adrenaline rush when I listen to it. Theres just something about very loud, fast, and intense music that has always appealed to me. Its just more exciting and engaging. You cant help but notice it when its on.

Thats why people who arent used to it will yell at you to turn it off. Because its so in your face that you either love it or hate it. And for many they might start off hating it but learn to love it. Metal, especially the heavier side, is like beer. Some might think it tastes weird and bitter when you have your first one and wonder why so many people like it but after a little while you cant get enough, want to try all kinds, and start funneling 24 packs. Something just clicks and you "get it."

Now I havent listened to Metallica much recently since I kind of played them out over the years and Ive been listening to so many new bands, but their 80s stuff will always be the shit to me and I laugh at anyone who wants to get all elite about em.

well this is more like actual thrash with some heavy metal parts...whereas mop is like heavy metal with a bit of thrash

MoP is great but this is better. If Disposable Heroes was on RtL, it wouldn't even be debatable to me.

And i CANT understand how people like MoP over this one. I find myself coming back MORE to this album. (Both are great, btw)

IF there is a weaker track on this album, it's definitely Trapped Under Ice. Escape is boss!
