Lol @ people forming an opinion on the music based on the lyrics
will there ever be an end to your stupidity?
Also it's fucking KENSRUE, not 'Krensue'

How does it differentiate itself? DUSTIN SCREAMS HIS HEART OUT AT THE MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENTS. You know, one of the very things which made Thrice fucking amazing in the first place.
Don't you realize they're trying to get away from that? Post-hardcore bands always feel the need to punctuate their most 'emotional' moments with a scream, but outside of the genre, you see that this isn't necessary, and- in some cases- actually detrimental. For example, take Vheissu. After screaming at peaks so often on previous albums, it comes to be expected by listeners, and when they don't get it, they feel underwhelmed. It locks the band into this predetermined course of songwriting, and when they finally break completely away from it, they're left with folks like you.

Sure I do, tkxxx7, but that does not mean I give up the right to criticize their attempts to "get away from that" if said attempts are not as good as "that." Also, check out my ratings. I gave Vheissu and Beggars 4.5's. They are both superb records, and I love them, albeit for very different reasons. However, I will simply always love Dustin's screaming vocal tendencies over his more subdued vocal stylings. And yes, they are left with folks like me; honest folk who speak their minds plainly and don't correct others on music forums for typos. Sorry, Dustin KENSRUE.

yeah well the shit matters to me plus you guys were confusing me so i Googled it and straightened shit out
However, I will simply always love Dustin's screaming vocal tendencies over his more subdued vocal stylings.
I'm not saying he shouldn't scream any more, and I'm not saying you're wrong for wanting that; just pointing out that it only makes it harder for the band to truly evolve when they're being held up to a standard that forces them into a 'traditional' sound
will there ever be an end to you being a twat?
keep waitin'

"He laid aside his crown
All our crimes he carried
Was lifted from the ground
With our burdens buried"
DC Talk or Thrice?
Anyone know?
Sounds like someone gave up on writing original lyrics to me and began backsliding.

It's not one song, it's the majority of the album.
Anarchist, why don't you quit quoting other users and form a fucking argument.
Right now, I envision you as Dim from A Clockwork Orange.
Droog: "Yeah."
Dim: "Yeah!"
Droog: "We want to make big money."
Dim: "Big big money."

I don't need an argument and there's no point in saying anything if he just said it perfectly
