The fact this band is still putting records out makes me want to jump into a landmine entrenched ravine of poison ivy.

@balc probably not.
@balls thats nice.

"i wish i liked their post-hardcore stuff more. tbh, a lot of it just sounds like a poor man's Dance Gavin Dance to me."
I feel the same way; upon hearing their older stuff, I'm just not impressed. Jerry's definitely found his niche with their latest stuff. And I liked Bad Luck decently, but I found it hard to pay attention to, it bored me in quite a few parts

I like their soft bluesy approach. not sure if I'd like anything heavier by this band but I'll check out Bad Luck and Darkness, Oh Hell
|
| |
Darkness, Oh Hell is more gritty and heavy, and Bad Luck is really pretty (especially Anna Lucia) but I feel like they've improved most since then

this kinda loses it's magic with repeated listens. I find myself listening again for specific moments rather than the feel as a whole

Yeah, this is still really good. That guitar line in messengers, right before he says "Now you know what you shouldn't know" fucking gets me every time. Strikes a chord deep in there ♥

:-( Aids
The actual line "Now you know what you shouldn't know" and the one just after it are pretty sweet. I love the violin(?) at the beginning of the song too

this past week I went through a phase of listening to this over and over. to be honest I hadn't given it much attention since my initial obsession with it but it's getting constant spins again now.

seriously giving some thought to getting the NBND symbol tattooed on my inner forearm. i've been a fan of this band for the last 4 years and their motifs relative to time have really impacted the way i go about making decisions and dealing with with day to day emotional progress...
probably won't get it done until the semester is over just to sleep on it some more. sputnik's probably not the best place to ask, but are band-related tattoos lame?

generally I'd say yes, but with this one no. Usually they look tacky but this one doesn't.

yeah, i'm typically on the yes side too, especially with obvious logos and such.
haven't found anything that states that the symbol has a meaning either, so it's not like getting an inverted cross lololol

this might just be me, but looking at the cover I think the symbol works best among the background, rather than on its own
|
| |
That would be kvlt as fuck though. You should totally rock that.

band-related tattoos are only lame if you lose interest in the band years later (thank based god jash didn't get that converge tattoo, for example) but you're in love with this band and have been for years so i say go for it. that would look really cool.
ive been flirting with the idea of getting the album cover for Slow Riot (those hebrew characters that translate into "formless and void" or something) on my left forearm.
but yeah, go for it Martine. I for one think that's a killer idea.

sweet. wouldn't really be a band tattoo in end the end, more of a 'personal interpretation of a band's
lyrics' tattoo. just gotta find an artist who can make this thing geometrically sound as fuck. i hate
tattoos where the proportions are all fucked. ie this mess:
