Fuck yeah I was there.

White walls mosh pit: "Get out of this closed off circle!"

Was disappointed at the end, everyone kept shouting "one more song/one more time/mordecai" or something, and dustie came out and said something

worst band since huey lewis and the news

You like Huey Lewis and the News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

It's actually really good live. This one bitch kept saying they only played 7 motherfucking songs 7 songs. Their average time is 10mins long what more do people fucking want?

between the buried and me...the only band who really tries to balance the apollonian and dionysian aspects of music, in a seamingly informed way...and all this talk about everyone having an equal opinion...most opinions are wrong and they are definitely not equal (read every philosopher who has ever existed)...i think im gunna write the greatest review ever for this ep, i just gotta find the time...

Are you being serious? You think these guys are the only band mixing dionysian excess with apollonian structure? If you think this ep is informed by Nietzsche you're a complete lunatic.

lol wut?

You forgot the most important part about Huey Lewis and the News. In '87, Huey released Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

I need to give this a better listening to. Btbam are a tough pill to swallow sometimes, even though I enjoy them, it just sounded very similar upon first casual listen.
