idk i have a guitar in DADGAD (usually down a half step) and a guitar in standard pretty much all the time. i use DADGAD so often it's like second nature now.

Hey if my guitar's D string is buzzing when I play it open is there anything I can do to fix it? Or should I not bother and bring it somewhere? While we are on the subject of guitars haha

I'd bring it somewhere, you probably need an adjustment. The cheaper of my two guitars starts buzzing once a year or so and an adjustment always helps. After the first two adjustments I just figured out how to do it myself, there's youtube videos and such if you wanna figure it out yourself.

yeah i never take my guitars to the shop anymore unless something is wrong with the electrical performance, everything else i'm comfortable doing myself. i really need to figure out optimal string gauges for DbAbDbGbAbDb, i've been using ernie ball skinny top heavy bottoms and the low strings are great but the high strings are really slinky and it's infuriating. might have to bite the bullet and start buying a heavier set just for those two strings.
