^little bit immature, irving
not sure this thread needs more of that
| | | Sorry. I figured it needed a bit of a revival.
That being said, it's seriously not very good. 2.5, maybe?

i mean you're free to dislike/rate whatever you want... not trying to be a hypocrite
i'm more referring to half-listening just to post about how much it sucks to get a rise out of stupid users
| | | Hahahahaha okay fair enough. Yeah twas my bad.
Sorry acad!

| | | I wouldn't have thought a Jared Ponton review of a Sum 41 album would garner this much shit. To be honest I've never really been to huge on this band so if I do check this out it'll be way in the future but I just thought I'd add a supportive comment as the review is obviously well-written, despite what some may think.
| | | This thread is hilarious.
Anyway I found this record overlong and pretty boring at times, though some moments did show some promise.

Where are the arguments for such crap you said? You look ridiculous and seem to be doing some kind of vengeance
What in the flying fuck does this even mean? Man, I really wish I had been aware of this thread when the troll orgy first started.
| | | Well first of all, I really hope this comment isn't disregarded simply because it's a first post.
Anyway, I went into this album with absolutely terrible expectations, and was actually pleasantly surprised. I bought
SBM today, and decided to check out some reviews. After reading all twenty five pages of this thread (fucking
hilarious by the way), I'm hoping to give a bit of a better name to people who like this album.
Personally, I believe a 1.5 is unwarranted, however I do realize that it's all personal preference, and that the reviewer
is actually quite talented. (despite the fact that i really love this album, i must say you're review was entertaining
nonetheless.) Anyway, I rate this album somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4. Though it's plagued by some absolutely
terrible songs like Time For You To Go, it generally makes up for it with quite good songs such as the title track,
Screaming Bloody Murder. The drummer in me absolutely soaks up some of the crazy shit that Jocz pulls, and I find
that while the guitar and whatnot is rather lackluster, the incredible drumlines really up the album for me. Besides
that, I find that while some songs have barely any musical merit, others' musicality are incredible (SBM, Reason to
Believe, Jessica Kills, and Sick of Everyone specifically). The musical inconsistency of the album is really its biggest
flaw, and it is absolutely true that the album takes a downturn as it progresses. I also understand that Sum 41 (and
poppunk in general) can tend to be a very niche genre, and is much more likely to cater to a teenager such as myself
than other, more mature people.
Anyway, as I don't know anything about this site, I'm really sorry if this comment is too long/in the wrong
place/unnecessary/etc. Just trying to give a more intelligent argument for the album.

I think you just gave the most intelligent post in the last five pages - at least. Fair play to you, sir =)
| | | Steve's lost his chops
| | | I'll easily admit that he is nowhere near as good as he used to be. But he's still quite creative, especially in SBM (the
song).
EDIT- Also, thank you, Irving ^^

i thought "he" was referring to my good friend, Jared.
| | | O: I was referring to The Reverend's comment about Steve losing his chops. I could very easily be confused though.

So much lol from this thread...made funnier by the fact I thought Sum 41 died in terms of being cared about 5 years ago. Apparently not.
| | | Haven't listened to this album yet, but from the ratings I'm seeing, this looks like a YMMV sort of thing.

They don't listen to modern music.
there are not many sites that share your WRONG opinion
I
Love
This
Thread
it just keeps delivering. over and over and over and over. I've never celebrated Hanukkah but was always kind of jealous of my Jewish friends who got 8 days of presents. So many days.
I feel like I finally know what it feels like to be Jewish; this thread is my Hanukkah.
