it's frustrating that when i tried to criticise so bad i don't get my point, they are actually a terrible band, pantera made good music compared to this also they are trying to sound like korn trying to be sepultura....no comments

Such a great album. Grew up listening to this shit. I want to put it at a 5, but nowadays I just

can't. Just something holding me back to a 4.



I seem to be in the minority when I say the last half of the album is better than the first. I don't

think their "heavy" songs are very good. The abstract ones are my favorites. There's just something

hypnotic about their music when they're being abstract (Prosthetics, Scissors, Tattered and Torn

etc). I think it's maybe because I've heard heavier/more aggressive stuff by a large margin, but

I've never found a band that captures the atmosphere they have in those songs. Though I gotta say

Purity is my favorite Slipknot song, which is kind of a mix.



All things aside, I think we can all agree this is the album that got much of the modern metal

fanbase into, well, metal.
