"this has the soul that nothing else in their discog has"

This is true. Jesse absolutely had the sauce recording this

This is the one time I preferred Jesse on a KSA and related projects thing over Howard.

It's interesting how much perception has swung on KSE on this site. AOJB was always the king until fairly recently. Maybe all the stans left or something

AOJB is the kind you like if you like old school metalcore and hate the melodic metalcore wave but it's not actually their best album

After their second self titled record where they went ultra mainstream with Howard, I think people championed the return of Jesse, especially after the success of Times of Grace.

Just so happened that Star that transition they as a band pretty much settled into being on cruise control and releasing KSE by the numbers albums.

I think if they brought Howard back and were a full time dual vocalist band that would work brilliantly.

Howard is the fucking man. I've always been lukewarm on Jesse tbh.

Always thought they could have easily printed money by collaborating more, The Signal Fire was pretty underwhelming. I wonder if there was drama behind the scenes

They bring him out all the time at live shows, I always wonder how he makes so many. He sounds as good as always. Just look up concerts over the last couple years, there a plenty of good recordings, full sets, on YouTube.

Howard was sounding really bad through the 2010s but that song he did with Jared Dines he actually sounded great on again.

Still absolutely love this stuff. Best ''Killswitch Engage'' album imo.
