idk i haven't checked out souvlaki yet, but the thing i love about loveless is how dense and how all its beauty is buried inside the odd guitar textures and roughness.

Souvlaki's vocals and individual instruments are much easier to pick out, as far as comparison to MBV. Its also built on a more verse-chorus-verse structure as opposed to flourishes of sound.
but both albums are too good to take at times.
