AC/DC is a monotonous band with a simple sound

But it has never tried to be anything more than just fun, simple music. There are way better bands out there and there are some that even beat them at their own game sometimes, but there's still nothing wrong with enjoying this tbh

Lol don't tell park that, because apparently listening to gorguts has made him too smart to enjoy this.

i dont hate on the band, or even its fans

just when people get snarky that not everyone likes the same things as them, especially when the thing they like is simple as you mention

thats what gets on my nerves and always has.

It's funny that you have a problem with snarkiness when your rebuttal to the statement that "highway to hell is arguably the greatest hard rock song of all time" was:

"i would recommend checking led zeppelin and deep purple"

A little self-awareness goes a long way.

whats the harm in saying those are better bands?

if anything early led zeppelin is ac/dc's biggest direct influence sound-wise, and thats a fact

if you think ac/dc owes more to berry than to led zeppelin, or even zeppelin to berry than ac/dc to them, you really have no idea about music history man

*sigh* This is a pointless discussion since you clearly have no idea what you're talking about but you're so set in your comfortably ignorant ways that nothing I say will get through to you, just like how nothing else I've said thus far has.

So I'm just gonna let Angus tell you himself:

Yeah, Angus seems like a totally down to earth unpretentious dude, and it was through guys like him talking about their reverence for Chuck Berry that I discovered Chuck Berry in the first place. You can clearly hear the Chuck Berry influence because of that three-chord bluesy boogie that he pioneered which they based their entire career on.

That's why it's hilarious to me to see someone claim that Led Zep was AC/DC's primary influence and not the blues and rock n roll guitarists that *they themselves* are so quick to credit as their primary inspirations.

people making such remarks clearly have no idea what they're talking about

if you have heard the music of rock n roll, it's super easy to figure out which artists influenced bands like AC/DC

Touch Too Much rocks so fucking hard man [2]

Right now it's probably my favourite too. Wondering how it didn't make this much of an impression before this, especially when The Donnas basically ripped off that chorus wholesale for "Take it Off' and I fucking love that song too.

Night Prowler is among the best closers of all time. The bleak atmosphere is almost tangible. Incredible track...
