that new detonation song is alright the solo's were pretty decent, and i gotta say i dont like his voice much now but it is in an improvement from the stuff on ascendancy like he does'nt even scream its more of a shout that gets really annoying after a while, and ya matt and corey are both good guitarists but matt is no where near the status of a "god" if anyone deserves to be a guitar god its Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom who CAN actually scream and does some insane leads as he sings, matt should bow down to Alexi

Nah, Alexi is just as bad a vocalist. He's a great guitarist though.

ya alexi is a great guitarist but he is a good vocalist to for his type of music(not even going to try to label them into a genre) but matt's screaming is just irritating and it really sounds like he's just shouting at you, like i was into trivium for a little while but his voice really turned me off to them

Alexi is ok, but nowhere near as good as that, but yes Matt is god offal, especially live.

i agree with shadowsfallen alexi has one of the best voices in metal, even his vocals on are you dead yet were pretty good though he changed his voice which i did'nt like to much but anyways matt is terrible live my friend had the misfortune of hearing him live and i have the ascendancy special edition that comes with the dvd and his screams are just pitiful live

Even though I dislike Matt Heafy (guitar/vocals) as a person, this album all around...how should I put this...incredible! Every instrument is amazing, and the vocals souns great too! Live they may be lackluster, but this album does not fail to send shivers up my spine!

Nice spelling! That's odd though, when I saw them on SOTU they were incredible, and I had low expectations. That performance made me listen to this record again and enjoy it.
