how he spots things to sample, puts all his sounds together to realise these tracks
all these wannabe producers spending $$$ on the latest kit and high end software and he uses fucking
soundforge and creates gold

this kinda stuff is interesting but musicians never seem to go into the actual grit of how they
construct a song. fly on the wall kinda stuff. they always talk about their influences or their
vision or occasionally how they came up with this riff or that melody, but they never talk about the
whole process of coming up with something and envisioning how it'll fit with another motif, how the
song will then progress and they actually write it all down and how the song and all its moods
develop.
this is why demo tapes are so interesting. cos theyre a snapshot of the song as it's still being
created.
maybe it's just a case of going out and finding out yourself cos i'm sure there's an infinite number
of approaches but how do you know where to start?
