If you're talking about the respective clean guitar interludes/breaks, I'm not one to agree with. I can tell you that.

I'm not denying the fact that was Alcest does a really epic clean part that they are perhaps better than other bands, what I'm saying is that those parts don't really come that often and basically every other aspect of the album is dull. Plus when it comes to Neige's vocals, his cleans can be kinda meh at times and his scream isn't bad at all really, but at the same times it's nothing too great either.

Can't say I disagree with your statement except I don't have any issues with the clean vocals and that I dont find the other apects dull. Although the clean guitar sections are some of the best aspects, I think the album benefits from not using them too often. Where would the peaks be?.. That being said, I still think the distorted guitar work is memorable as well. It's all about balance, and somehow the album makes it work.

I think Amesoeurs self-titled full length is one of the best albums OF ALL TIME. I still listen to it regularly. Absolutely flawless, for the most part.
This album is better than .neon. Most definitely. .neon is still good though.
Solar Song is fucking awesome. I love that song. I would say it's one of my favorites but I think this album is equally awesome from start to finish. New Agalloch is probably going to be my favorite for the year but this will be #2.

Well this is gonna be your problem, man. Amesoeurs is in absolutely no way a "shoegaze / black metal" band. Amesoeurs is more like a post hardcore / post punk / screamo band. The last track almost sounds like an Envy song. Almost all the songs with Audrey on vocals sound like Asobi Seksu songs. They are only marginally black metal, and only on AMESOEURS IS DEAD (I XIII V XIX XV V XXI XVIII XIX - IX XIX - IV V I IV) pretty much.
