Om's first releases future only drum-bass songs and deal with themes such as spirituality. They play a hybrid of stoner rock - drone music with scattered middle eastern influences. After their second album they began expanding the music, incorporating structures based on tibetan and byzantine music with chants and all sorts of middle east goodies. This transition was completed with their masterpiece, "Advaitic Songs".

"Advaitic Songs" is one of the best albums i've ever heard and it shouldn't be tagged as stoner or a metal album. It is a spiritual piece of work that one needs to experience in order to grasp its magic.

This particular album is playing constantly on my MP3 when i go to my favorite place to drink, relax and smoke some hookah.

its almost like you have to focus on something else and let this be the background music in order to get the most out of it. But man it takes you to another dimension

I remember way back in the day I was ripped 24/7 and would always have music going on in the background weather i was alone or other people were over. I remember I thought Jerusalem and Dopesmoker were two different albums listening to the back to back. lol good times

In the wrong mood to me this is just a 3.5 repetitive mantra.

In the right mood this is a holy 4.5 from above
