Oh yeah, the same old "you can't compare two different bands" argument, a very fun way to avoid talking about music altogether, real nice. You're acting like Karnivool aren't a rock band and they only play wind instruments through their ass or something. Even if they're so different from Genesis or Led Zeppelin (different eras, different themes, different tone, etc.) that wasn't even my point. My point is that if you give this album 5 stars, are you REEAAALLY going to give Led Zeppelin IV the same rating? Have you guys even heard Selling England by the Pound? LPs as monumental as that deserve at least 10 stars if Sound Awake is your standard for 5 stars. The difference between this and that is in light years, objectively speaking, and I detest Genesis lol.
But hey, opinions, I only came here to share my disappointment for this band and you felt attacked. Fair enough. It's not like I am the toxic one. Let's face it, are you? I don't know to be frank, and at this point and I'm too afraid to ask. It's just that this thread begins to feel too much like private property and you, Karnifools (heh!!), have established here authoritarian power over what is and what is not tolerable and I'm about to fix that.
