ok but that's exactly why i don't use rym. i don't give a shit if the world knows I think Revolver or whatever is a 4.5 or a 5.0, that's practically a novelty in the long-run of actually discussing & sharing in what you love (or hate i guess) about certain music, which is afforded over here

it's more for me to look at tbh, I have a weird fetish for cataloging shit

and of course rym is way more visual and has a lot of different ways you can sort things

this one & Crow are their particularly timeless albums I think. very few "tropes" or whatever like you might have found in SCIENCE & even Make Yourself

Light Grenades has some decent tracks as well. Quicksand/A Kiss to Send us Off, Anna Molly, Dig, Oil and Water). Hell, I even like a few tracks off of If Not Now When (t/t, In the Company of Wolves, Adolescents). But man, their last few I could barely listen to (Trustfall EP and 8).

I don't even use RYM for the community, it's solely for rating purposes, but the site design and layout is so much better. some of their album ratings could be better

Album Rating: 3.5
"this is the best album i've heard in my life: 2.5"
rym in a nutshell

Album Rating: 4.5
someone beseech the mods to change the band name back it's making people leave the site and it's just plain stupid.
|

Album Rating: 4.7
I always find it funny listening to this band's post MV work because the albums are half good and half shit with like, surgical precision. In Crow's case they even put all the good ones first up so there's no real need to listen past Pistola
y'all not mentioning Rogues in the list of good LG songs is baffling though because that might be their best song

yea crow fucking dies in the second half with the exception of maybe the last two songs (i think its been a while since ive last jammed incubus). innw is probably more bad than good but it has a few moments, and yea rogues is one of lg's best easy
8 just fucking sucks

I like Rogues but it’s not one of my favs on LG. Earth yo Bella Pt 1 and 2 are good as well.
More that I think about it, LG is actually a solid album. But you could definitely see the quality starting to deteriorate. It just didn’t measure up to the previous albums.
