I did rate colors higher though, as I enjoy that a little more. I think this is their best though

"well, the breakdown is still there (and it still sounds the exact fucking same as it did on Colors)"

"The heavy parts were regurgitated from their past works (sometimes verbatim)"

These were hilarious. How about an example of that last one?

I love reading these comments, especially when people repost their comments to either extreme like or dislike, almost as though their ignorance caused them to feel as though people need to know how much they love/hate said album again and again and again...

to BTBAM's new release, i think it's amazing how a band can start off like TSC and throughout each album produce something that's both new and different. I used to wish and hope that upon every new release from my favorite band that it'd be just like my favorite because everyones afraid of something "new". Know I realize that when i sit back and listen to an entire discography, if the former was true, there's no way i'd be able to sit through the same thing over and over. That being said, I think TGM is a fantastic album, there's a lot more subtle nuances then Colors, and the transitions are much more smooth and fit better overall. Howerver, i still think Colors really broke ground and was a masterpiece. My two cents. oh and keep those comments coming, it really does put a smile on my face.

p.s tommy roger's vocals are so unique, and with the lyrics he writes, love em to death!!

JizzInMyPants, "Desert of Song" is one of my favorite songs on this album. It is really awesome and beautiful.

I had to rate this album even higher because the more I listen to it, the more I like. "Disease, Injury, Madness" and "Fossil Genera - A Feed From Cloud Mountain" are just phenomenal. And listening to this on a long drive, jammed up really loud at night, just made the experience that much better. This is definitely their most focused album and the transitions are tighter than ever.

2009 has been too good when you have to ask yourself if a 4 album belongs in your top 20 or not.

Not for metal, that's for sure.

The Wizard, I thought that metal had tons of good releases in 2009. In fact, a top 10 list may be difficult for me. I really like this one, Burnt by the Sun, Red Chord, Mastodon, Baroness, Trap Them, Cannibal Corpse, Coalesce, Warbringer, Goatwhore, Grand Magus, Kylesa, Megadeth, Slayer, Misery Index, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, YOB, and I may be missing some.

while Tom isn't like the most talented voice in the world, i think he fits into the band super-well....swim to the moon is a beast of a song, both in length and in awesomeness....listened to the whole thing from start to finish the other night...twas pretty awesome...
