I don't enjoy Versions as much.
Their older stuff either for that matter, it might have been groundbreaking at the time, but it just hasn't aged that well for me. Same would apply for Cave In pre-Jupiter

ycby is one of the best records ive ever heard
versions is alright but def their body of work im least engaged by. i used to like tear from the red more than this but i havent given this as much time as i probably should so thats a more malleable take

yeah def give this more time because it's certainly better than TFTR, which is still good.
this band has a really consistent discog overall but ycby still stands out as the clear high point imo

tftr is pretty underrated in the discog imo i might just dig it more since its a bit more geared towards my presently core-heavy tastes but its a really rad transition record from the breakdown heavy style of ood over to what theyre doing on ycby. home to so many massive tunes

Man becoming more familiar with this bands older albums has made me see this one in a whole new light. This was actually the first PTW album I was exposed to and at the time I didn’t get it. Now I think its brilliant
