Listened to this again this time listening to every word and I have to say that the album is, lyrically, one of the best I've ever heard. I'm not religious, I don't think I'm even a Christian, but this is genius. I mean guys, why not get utterly changed into fire?

r u implying that Christianity isn't a religion...?

By that I meant that even though I used to be Catholic (which in turn = me being Christian)after one point I never went to church or practiced it. It was just by name or religious label. I don't believe in religion. In God? It's complicated.

Oh boy, I get to talk about religion again! Alright, God is a universal concept. You'll see some form of an ultimate all powerful God in just about every major religion (e.g. Brahman, Allah, nirvana, the God of Abraham, etc...). And that God is essentially the same God in every religion. So that's why Aaron can be singing praise to Allah. Religion is pretty much a system for looking at God. Some people choose not to confine themselves in the system of Christianity or any other religion. Thus, I completely understand what Cesar is talking about and I personally feel the same way.

I think he's saying Allah because that's another transalation of God's name, don't think he means to imply that he's generalising with it. I'm pretty sure that they're Christians through and through.

But my entire point is that they're both the same thing. Plus the fact that historically speaking Islam's Allah is the God of Abraham. And I don't think they're just Christians in the fact that they borrow so many ideas from Islam and Sufism. Aaron and Michael were raised Sufi.

^ Isn't Sufism just a branch of Islam?

Yeah. There are slight differences. But Sufism is where a lot of Aaron's "Allah in everywhere you look" come from. I don't particularly know exactly where the line is between Islam and Sufism is though.

You can't be a Christian and a Muslim. Christians bank everything on the idea that Jesus Christ is God. Muslims believe Jesus was only a prophet. Jesus in fact claimed to be God, so either the Christians are wrong or the Muslims are. You can share principles/values, but you're either one or the other. I personally don't understand how Muslims can consider him a "great teacher" because I wouldn't trust a teacher who falsely claimed to be God, stated he had the power to forgive people of their sins, and claimed to be sinless. Sounds more like a terrible and insane man if what he claimed wasn't true...

You're everyone else.
Bumping this to a 3.5 and it might go higher, but I still think there are some really boring songs on here. Goodbye, I! sucks. On the other hand, tracks 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 11 are amazing
