well yeah but the theme was way more present in toy story 3 and way more connected to the audience then the theme on Hospice. The lyrics don't really make Hospice for me, though they are very well written. In fact I find "Bear" to more or less be about abortion.

Isn't Bear about abortion or have I been fooled this whole time?

Bear is about abortion. You see, he met her in the hospital when she came in for screening and they entered a relationship/got married and she got preggo but she had cancer so she got an abortion...
It all really just documents her emotional stress which helps to make her suicidal/insane and presumptuous and always blaming him for things he didn't do etc etc etc... It's brilliant really.

her emotional stress? the album seems to come from the perspective of the male.

Yes, but he constantly makes references to her mental state... Talks about her comitting suicide twice, and also hints towards the fact that her dad made her neurotic and unstable and now it's all just going downhill from where they were at.
If you understand what I'm saying. I know it is from the perspective of the male, but it's all essentially about how his hardships reflect her hardships and how their relationship atrophies along with her despite the fact that the story is being told more as a memoir rather than something from the present.

sheesh. You really put a lot of thought into the lyrical content. I'll have to binge on this again, go for one of those "whole album" marathon listens.

Yeah... Also if you get the physical copy of the album there are some extra added in little quips but it's nothing essential to understand the story. All the songs on here really make it cohesive and help to push it so that it transcends simple music into more of a story that is supposed to make you think and analyze and, most importantly, feel, in the same way that Toy Story does. hehehe.

First time I heard this only really Sylvia clicked (weird choice of immediate hit) and I kind of dismissed it until one of my friends had Bear as their fb status. We talked about the album for a bit and she convinced me to take another listen and it basically blew me away.
