I love Snuff, and I never heard it once on mainstream radio.

yeah, if they'd wanted snuff to be the hit radio song it would have been the 1st single not the 4th. the only reason it was a single i reckon is so they could make the video/film thing which they like doing

Snuff defines mainstream radio, but isn't on it apparently. I mean listen to it...some thing about the vocals are too non-Slipknot. Kind of like Circle from vol.3. I don't know any bands that represent the type of vocals I'm thinking of because it is ALL OVER the radio.
It's just how the vocals work. I love both vermillions, but some how Snuff just kills me. I think it's really a personal thing I have, I respect your opinions on the song.

I don't see a problem with the softer songs like Snuff and Circle. Those are actualy some of my favourite tracks. Corey's got a great voice, might as well use it.

This could have been a great album if they stick to the heavier sounds than having more "soft" melodies. Psychosocial and sulfur are one of the heaviest songs so far that they created in their entire career imo.

Iowa is their heaviest album. This album is much less focused than their previous albums. TBH they're tetering on the edge of becoming washed up by now. The only reason I have this ratred so highly is cos I'm a massive fanboy

of course I've listened to it :s I have it at 5 too. fanboy remember?
I still think Iowa is heavier overall. Self titled probably has their heaviest moments though. i.e. Get This and Eeyore

i don't think this is much weaker than anyting else they've done, i think they've actaully matured pretty well. people can't really be expecting them to write songs like people=shit when some of them are entering theri 40s?
yeah they're are song poorer songs on here but gematria, sulfur, dead memories and this cold black are 4 of their best songs of their career imo.

I think that all of slipknots albums have amazing songs on them including this one, but i never like listening to their albums all at once, like ill listen to the songs im in the mood for and leave it at that. I dont believe they got any better or any worse with this album, i like it

yeah the breakdown in psychosocial annoys me. I always hated that bit and could never understand the appeal of it.
this was before I knew what a breakdown was
