dookie was good, but this is not. i owned this album for a very short period of time, but it didn't take me long to realize that i didnt like it, i passed it on to my little sister who has poor musical taste IMO.

Seriously, people. Don't kill the rating by voting 1/5. You may not like some of the songs but no album, especially a grammy winning album is that bad. I'm voting it a 2.5 because it's meh. Be reasonable.

Its a really good album and the best they have produced in my opinion. Id say their image isnt totally original but its not exactly copied straight from someone else and as for their songs sounding familiar I don't agree with apart from she's a rebel which is clearly mollys lips I don't know why no-one let them know before they realsed it. And not listening to an album because kids like it isn't a good reason really MCR are like that but you have to ignore that part and just enjoy the music.

The album is ok, I guess.... Im not gonna be bias saying I HATE THIS ALBUM because Green Day annoys me... but The album isnt really that good on a musical standpoint. american Idiot (thier single) just is a waste. Yeah, I hate bush too, but can someone remind them that they can indeed become a citizen to another country if they hate it here so badly.. I think theree only great albums were Nimrod and dookie... all the others were like american idiot.. bland...This Message Edited On 05.13.06

im making these "silly" comments coz labanza will not shut up about how much he hates this album, as fondler said, he needs to find something better to do.

Jesus crack-smoking Christ!

First off, that's not what the song was about. You obviously didn't read the lyrics.

Second, this country is not a fucking love-it-or-leave deal. "You can go to another country if you hate it he-" Fuck you. How far do you have to jam your own head up your ass to believe for even a nanosecond that anything in that statement is fair, level-headed, and reasonable? This Message Edited On 05.14.06

Now now, It's only logical that if you disagree with something you should ignore it and go somewhere else.

Steerpike is a god. Duh.

Through the mysterious ninja magic of vB code. The forums are a fast way to learn it.

As for the next album, they'll probably continue to go with this new direction, but have a more refined approach to it.

the new direction is allright, as long as the media loosens its deathgrip and stops overplaying everything.

This record is good. Some moments (Extraordinary Girl) makes me miss the Green Day I grew up with, but not at all a bad record.

"Overrated?" You're wrong. You know who I mean. You're overrated.

Great review. "Jesus Of Suburbia's" my favorite. My favorite part is City Of The Damned. Definiely my favorite album by Green Day, maybe my favorite rock album ever. I kind of liked the way that they went even more deeply into politics than Eminem, my favorite rapper did, in "Mosh."
