Yeah people say he was mimicking Dallas on this but really that's just conjecture to explain why his voice is so different than normal on this, I don't think anyone really knows for sure except the band. If you listen to stuff he recorded before this, like his old band This Runs Through, it is a fair bit deeper and closer to his vocals on UO post-this album.

Agreed, although the only one I don't like that much is I Don't Feel Very Receptive Today, and even then the ending is pretty sweet.
